Figuring it Outby Catherine Walls on 08/26/15
As you can tell, painting people is a passion of mine. Do you enjoy doodling but your people look more like flowers? Would you like to add people to your landscapes but need a little help? Perhaps you’ve been wanting to drop into an Open Figure Sketch session but want to practice a little first. Or maybe you just need a little help drawing details like hands, feet, noses and eyes.
In September, I'll be teaching a beginning class in figure drawing. The three day class will be held on Wednesdays; Sept. 9th, 16th and 23rd from 6:00-8:00pm at the Mispillion Art League Gallery. In this beginners class you'll learn how to draw the human figure using simple methods and a few tricks. We'll also spend one of those sessions drawing tricky hands, feet and facial features. this isn't a portrait painting class, we won't get into that much detail. the goal here is to help you have more success sketching the human form, whether it's just for fun or to enhance you're already lovely landscapes!
The fee for the 6 hours of instruction includes all materials: members $55, non-members $70. To register, call 430-7646, visit the website http://www.mispillionarts.org/ or stop into the Mispillion Art League Gallery at #5 N. Walnut St, Milford.
