Remember how much fun art class was in 3rd grade?by Catherine Walls on 07/31/15
I often teach art lessons to adults and children at the Mispillion Art League http://mispillionarts.org . I enjoy doing the research and developing the lesson just as much as teaching it. I sometimes use the VERY helpful site that the National Gallery of Art has set up. Registration is free and it is chock full of fun stuff. I can also access images of amazing art through this service. So if you have kids to entertain on those too-hot to go out days, go here and register and have fun: http://www.nga.gov/content/ngaweb/education.html .
Often, while I'm teaching one of the children's classes, adults linger at the door and listen. It has been requested that the Mispillion Art League offer the kids classes to adults. So August 3rd, 6pm, I'll be teaching a really fun class about Wassily Kandinsky. After a short, entertaining little biographical presentation, the real fun starts as everyone does their own version of Kandinsky's "Circles". It's the exact lesson that we do for the kids, from ages 5 to 14; so even if you're not artistically inclined, you'll have fun. Just call MAL to pre-register ($35/$45 for the 1 1/2 hr lesson) : (302)430-7646
